Terms of Service

Draft — TODO: lawyer review before public launch. This is a working template based on common marketplace ToS patterns (Stripe Atlas, Termly). Numbers / specifics need real legal review.

1. About modelprint.shop

modelprint.shop ("the Marketplace", "we", "us") is a platform operated by Belforest Lab ("operator") that connects buyers ("you") with independent 3D-print service providers ("Stores"). The Marketplace is not the seller of any prints; Stores are independent businesses responsible for their own listings, fulfillment, quality, and customer service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Marketplace. By creating an account you represent that you are 18 or older.

3. Marketplace role and Store responsibility

  • Stores set their own pricing, lead times, accepted file formats, and refund policies.
  • The Marketplace facilitates payment via Stripe but does not guarantee print quality, delivery, or any specific outcome.
  • All warranties, express or implied (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose), are disclaimed by the Marketplace. Stores may offer their own warranties separately.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Marketplace's total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of the service is capped at the platform fee actually collected by the Marketplace on the order in question, or fifty US dollars ($50), whichever is less. The Marketplace is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

5. Buyer-uploaded content

You represent and warrant that any 3D model file you upload (a) you own or have a license to print, (b) does not infringe any third party's intellectual-property rights, and (c) does not depict weapons or anything prohibited by law in your jurisdiction or the Store's. You agree to indemnify the Marketplace and the Store against any third-party claim arising from a model file you upload.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the Marketplace to:

  • Order or print firearms, firearm components, or weapons;
  • Order or print anything illegal in your jurisdiction or the Store's;
  • Order or print copyrighted IP without rights;
  • Order or print obscene material;
  • Harass, threaten, or defame other users.

7. Reviews

After a SHIPPED or PICKED_UP order, you may submit a review (1–5 stars

  • optional comment). Reviews must be honest and based on a real transaction. False or defamatory reviews may be removed. Stores may submit one reply per review. The Marketplace may hide reviews that violate these terms.

8. Refunds and disputes

Refunds are between you and the Store. The Marketplace facilitates refund processing via Stripe but does not underwrite refunds. If a dispute cannot be resolved with the Store, contact support@modelprint.shop; the Marketplace may at its discretion mediate but is not obligated to take a side.

9. Account suspension

The Marketplace may suspend or terminate any account at its discretion for violation of these terms, suspicious activity, or non-payment.

10. Governing law and arbitration

These Terms are governed by the law of the State of Alabama, USA. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. You waive the right to participate in a class action.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be emailed to your account email or shown as a banner. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
